REQUIREMENTS FOR REVALIDATION

(TRI rating not expired)

Within the 12 months immediately preceding the date of the application shall have completed the following:

  • Pass the assessment of competence in accordance with PART-FCL;
  • At least 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings on the applicable airplane type, of which maximum 15 sectors may be completed in an FFS;
  • Instructor refresher training as a TRI at an ATO which shall cover the relevant elements of the TRI training course.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL (TRI RATING EXPIRED)

  • Completed within the last 12 months preceding the application at least 30 route sectors, to include take-offs and landings on the applicable aeroplane type, of which not more than 15 sectors may be completed in a flight simulator
  • Completed the relevant parts of a TRI course at an approved ATO
  • Conducted on a complete type rating course at least 3 hours of flight instruction on the applicable type of aeroplane under the supervision of a TRI(A).

REQUIREMENTS FOR SFI REVALIDATION

Fulfil 2 of the following 3 requirements:

  • Completed 50 hours as an instructor or an examiner in FSTDs, of which at least 15 hours shall be within the 12 months preceding the expiry date of the SFI certificate
  • Receive instructor refresher training as an SFI at an ATO
  • Pass the relevant sections of the assessment of competence in accordance with FCL.935.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SFI REVALIDATION

If the SFI certificate has lapsed, the applicant shall, within the 12 months preceding the application:

  • Complete the simulator content of the SFI training course
  • Receive instructor refresher training as an SFI at an ATO
  • Pass the relevant sections of the assessment of competence in accordance with FCL.935
